Job Overview

The Climate Control Specialist plays a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the Regional Distribution Center. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and maintaining safety training, documentation, communication, and postings to ensure corporate and OSHA compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains logs, reports, audit processes, SOX controls, and applicable metrics to avoid picking and shipping errors.
  • Coordinates and ensures accurate arrival, duration, and departure of inbound activity; notifies management of imminent or potential detention charges and resolves issues or variations with the inbound documentation.
  • Provides timely customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Initiates inbound vendor or in-transit freight claims and actions related to serial number deviations.
  • Carries out supporting activities, including determining disposition of damaged product.
  • Maintains non-conformance in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), processes, packaging, vendor cross-reference, or UPC issues.
  • Participates in other projects as assigned.

Requirements

This role requires at least 2 years of related experience and a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination is preferred. HVAC industry experience is also desired. The ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, computer literacy in Microsoft Office, and some experience with general office applications.
