Project Design Supervisor

The role of Project Design Supervisor plays a vital part in ensuring health and safety compliance on a major construction project. As the PSDP, you will be responsible for overseeing health and safety aspects of the design process, working closely with designers, engineers, and contractors to minimize risks and promote best practices for a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as PSDP and identify potential design risks for mitigation.
  • Coordinate with designers, architects, and engineers to integrate safety measures into the project plan.
  • Maintain compliance with Irish health and safety laws, particularly the Construction Regulations 2013.
  • Prepare and maintain the Safety File for the project.
  • Communicate effectively with the Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS).
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and advise on safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections throughout the design phase.
  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders on safety compliance and risk management.
