Logistics and Inventory Coordinator Role

We require a skilled Logistics and Inventory Coordinator to manage the day-to-day operations of our inventory control team. This role involves:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in leading the inventory control team to ensure all operational activities are completed efficiently and accurately, including cycle counting, COGI reconciliation, physical material storage setup, and Control Audits.
  • Support the development and implementation of effective inventory control strategies to drive accuracy and efficiency across the site.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain full support and compliance with inventory control procedures.
  • Identify and assist in resolving issues affecting inventory inaccuracy through root cause analysis and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Support the Logistics Manager in analysing data to drive improvements in logistics optimisation, including inventory accuracy, storage utilisation, and cycle times.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost reduction projects across supply chain.
  • Liaise with IT to explore the capabilities of current systems and identify potential improvements.
  • Work with external 3PL providers to enhance accuracy levels and improve inventory-to-line feed processes.

Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, IT, Engineering, or a related discipline (QQI level 8).
  • Minimum 3 years' professional experience within Logistics or Planning, preferably in a manufacturing organisation.
  • Ability to apply analytical skills to utilise ERP systems (preferably SAP) to drive process improvement and inform decision-making.
  • Previous experience in supporting teams effectively, either directly or through projects.
  • Knowledge of production operations, procurement, or planning would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of supply chain management and processes.
  • Able to build positive relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Basic planning and analytical skills to collate and analyse data for informed decision-making.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other similar ERP systems, particularly in WM/IM/SFC, with a willingness to learn more about their capabilities.
