Job Overview

Dublin Youth Theatre is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the role of General Manager. As the organisation's leader, you will play a crucial part in shaping its future and ensuring the delivery of high-quality programmes for young theatre artists.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organisation, managing a team of staff and volunteers, and working closely with the Executive Director and Programmes & Communications Manager to implement the annual programme of activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about youth arts and has a proven track record in leadership and management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of the annual programme of activities, including workshops, productions, and other events
  • Manage a team of staff and volunteers to ensure the smooth operation of the organisation
  • Work closely with the Executive Director and Programmes & Communications Manager to develop and implement organisational policies and procedures
  • Liaise with stakeholders, including funding bodies, partners, and suppliers

Requirements
  • At least two years' experience in a leadership or management role in the arts or youth sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proven ability to manage budgets and resources effectively

Benefits
  • A competitive salary of €35,000 per annum pro rata
  • 20 hours per week
  • Time off in lieu and no overtime
  • 15 days per annum holiday
