Job Title: Eye Care Specialist

 

We are seeking a highly skilled Eye Care Specialist to conduct thorough eye examinations for patients of all ages, with a focus on pediatric care.

The role involves diagnosing and managing vision problems and eye diseases, prioritizing and adapting to the demands of this ever-changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about vision care.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Requirements:

  • Hold an Optometry Qualification.
  • Must be CORU registered.
  • Experience in pediatric optometry is desirable but not necessary.
  • Full driving license and access to own car is desirable.
  • Be resident in Ireland and have legal right to work in Ireland without restriction.
  • All candidates will be required to undergo Garda Vetting.
  • Candidates who have lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months over the age of 16 will be required to produce International Police Clearance.

This contract is envisioned as a 3-month temporary assignment. The successful candidate will be working in Limerick.
