Job Description

The Scientific Communications Coordinator will be responsible for delivering proactive and strategic communications for HIQA. This role involves scientific editing of high-quality reports for publication on the HIQA website, including National Immunisation Advisory Committee (NIAC) recommendations and the Immunisation Guidelines for Ireland.

This position requires close collaboration with scientific researchers on the drafting of technical reports and disseminating clear information to the public, media, and other stakeholders through multiple channels, including press releases, social media posts, infographics, and other relevant communications. Additionally, the Scientific Communications Coordinator will coordinate responses to media queries and contribute to the development and implementation of relevant social media output, such as animation and infographics.

To be successful in this role, applicants must have a minimum of three years' experience in media and PR in a corporate, technical, or scientific communications setting. They should also possess experience in editing and reviewing scientific or technical documents and writing for a scientific or medical audience.
