Job Title: R&D Specialist

This is a critical role within the Sustaining and Lifecycle Management (LCM) department, supporting R&D initiatives for medical devices used to treat hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke.

">Key Responsibilities:">
  • Execute design verification testing in a controlled GxP environment
  • Conduct data analysis and prepare comprehensive test reports
  • Develop evaluation and testing strategies for product/process changes
  • Provide regulatory submission support
  • Design component specifications and maintain up-to-date records
  • Investigate product complaints and analyze returned devices
  • Support CAPA and non-conformance processes
  • Collaborate with project teams to achieve key objectives
  • Liaise with external vendors to drive project success
  • Prepare procedure, protocol, specification, and report documents
  • Demonstrate understanding of physician techniques and clinical needs
  • Develop training materials for products
">Requirements:">
  • Honours degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Approximately 12 months experience in a medical device design or manufacturing setting
  • Technical ability based on fundamental engineering principles
  • Data review and statistical methods skills (Minitab)
  • High level of technical writing and reporting competence
  • Strong work ethic, creative problem-solving, and capability to work independently
