Technical Leadership Role

The role of a Senior Technical Operations Specialist is pivotal within the Research and Development team, responsible for leading the Technical Support and Assurance (TSA) team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the Sligo Technical Agenda by leading, motivating and developing the TSA team.
- Provide technical expertise and leadership for investigation and resolution of process deviations, root cause analysis and effective investigation practices.
- Conduct process monitoring/trending, support QA with generation and closure of annual product reviews and implement continuous improvement tools for incremental change.
- Develop functional partnerships with site business units to address TSA activity related issues and actively engage with TSA peers in other business units and TSA leadership to share knowledge, challenges and solutions.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Honors Bachelors degree in a technical discipline.
- At least 5 years experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry, with experience of new product introductions and product support.
- Knowledge of processes and equipment necessary for the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, parenterals and/or biologicals and ability to prioritize workload for self and reports.
- Excellent problem solving skills, risk management and decision making skills and excellent collaboration skills.
