We are seeking a skilled Safety Compliance Specialist to join our team at Hunter Savage. As a key member of our Health & Safety department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors across our site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Coordination: Assist the Group Health & Safety Manager in coordinating health and safety activities across the site, ensuring the smooth execution of safety procedures and policies.
- Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct regular and thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards, implement corrective actions, and assess new equipment and processes for safety risks.
- Audit & Inspection: Conduct audits and inspections of the workplace to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Training Management: Maintain and oversee training trackers to ensure all employees are up to date with the necessary health and safety training programs.
- Incident Investigation: Lead investigations into accidents and incidents, identify root causes, and ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will possess in-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation, FMCG safety standards, and best practices in risk management. You should also have expertise in identifying hazards and proactively taking measures to mitigate them. Strong leadership skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for guiding safety initiatives and working cross-functionally with various teams.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience in a Health & Safety role, preferably in the FMCG or manufacturing industry, with a focus on managing health and safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.
- Qualifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent health and safety certifications are highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with health and safety software, training systems, and Microsoft Office.
