At Trinity College Dublin, we are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Open Health Research Engagement Officer.

This position is a key part of our NORF-funded project, 'Building a Culture of Open Research for Health and Social Care Practitioner-Researchers.'

The successful candidate will facilitate the delivery of this project by managing day-to-day planning and progression, monitoring milestones, and providing progress reports.

In close collaboration with the project leads and advisory board, the Open Health Research Engagement Officer will engage in outreach activities with stakeholders, including practitioner groups, agencies, and individual researchers.

The post-holder will scope and evaluate publication platforms for our new open access journal, with a view to launching it towards the end of the project. They will also develop editorial guidelines and an editorial panel for the journal.

We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the Irish health sector, open research publication landscapes, and open research practices.

As a member of our Content Management and Open Scholarship (CMOS) division, you will work closely with the Deputy Head and other team members to achieve the goals of this project.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating the delivery of the NORF-funded project
  • Managing day-to-day project planning and progression
  • Maintaining records of project milestones and progress
  • Providing regular progress reports to the project leads and advisory board
  • Engaging in outreach activities with stakeholders
  • Scoping and evaluating publication platforms for the open access journal

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
