Occupational Therapist Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in providing specialist services to children and young people with complex disabilities.

The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with other professionals. They will also possess a solid understanding of paediatrics and experience working with children with complex disabilities.

  • This is a full-time permanent opportunity offering a generous salary based on experience.

About the Job

Job Description: The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide specialist Occupational Therapy services to children and young people with complex disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and treatment planning for children and young people with complex disabilities
  • Delivering high-quality Occupational Therapy interventions, including advice and education for children, families, and carers
  • Working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure an integrated approach to care
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans, including setting appropriate goals and objectives
  • Providing clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff members
  • Participating in service development and quality improvement activities
Requirements

Essential Qualifications: BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy or equivalent, CORU registration or eligibility to register with CORU, minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, paediatrics experience, and experience working with children with complex disabilities.

Desirable Qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, experience in clinical supervision and leadership, and a full driving license.
