Key Civil Engineering Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Engineer to join our team in Kilkenny and be part of exciting civil engineering/roads/transportation projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage and carry out inspections on Temporary Traffic Management to ensure smooth traffic flow and maintain public safety.
  • Complete Temporary Safety Measures Inspection Reports, highlighting areas for improvement and suggesting remedial actions.
  • Manage and carry out Road Safety Inspections, assessing the condition of roads and identifying potential hazards.
  • Lead or participate in Road Safety Audits, evaluating the effectiveness of existing measures and recommending new ones.
  • Verify that all materials used and work performed adhere to strict specifications to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Provide technical expertise and structural knowledge to support project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with stringent safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for everyone involved.
  • Conduct regular Toolbox Talks to inform and engage colleagues about important health and safety issues.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a Level 8 Civil Engineer Degree.
  • At least 5 years' experience in civil engineering/roads/transportation projects, ideally with a focus on project management and team leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of TII Publications, Traffic Signs Manual, Health and Safety Legislation, including Construction Regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and motivational skills to drive team performance and achieve project goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications to manage data and reports effectively.
  • A valid full driving license to facilitate site visits and travel.
