Manufacturing Automation Design Specialist

An experienced Software Design Engineer is required to develop innovative design solutions for various manufacturing environments.
The role will involve working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, developing and writing code for large automation projects, designing software solutions for automation equipment, and liaising with project team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement software solutions for automation equipment projects
- Develop and write code for large automation projects
- Liaise with project team members to ensure timely completion of projects
To be successful in this role, candidates will need to have the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent
- Programming experience with PLCs/HMI, particularly Rockwell's suites, but knowledge of other systems such as Mitsubishi, Siemens, B&R, and Codesys is advantageous
- Script-based programming skills
- Experience with robotics, AI, and Machine Learning
- Strong knowledge of motion control and 6 Axis Robot systems
- Good understanding of software development principles
- Able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Excellent communication skills
