As a seasoned legal professional, you will play a pivotal role in leading our Legal team in Ireland. Your expertise and leadership skills will be instrumental in shaping the legal landscape of our organization and ensuring that we operate within the bounds of regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of five lawyers and one paralegal, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure their growth and development.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to senior management on all custodial, trustee, and fund administration matters.
  • Advise on complex deals and transactions, negotiating contractual documentation and structuring specialist funds.
  • Develop and implement effective risk management strategies to minimize legal risks.
  • Collaborate with external counsel to deliver commercially focused solutions while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of current legal trends and initiatives impacting Ireland, EU, and EMEA, incorporating this knowledge into your advisory work.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Essential Qualifications:

  • A qualified lawyer with at least 15 years PQE, preferably with experience in international financial services institutions.
  • Proven leadership skills, with extensive experience in direct team management.
  • Strong communication skills, with gravitas to maintain credibility with senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously, balancing commercial flexibility and risk management.
  • Familiarity with current legal, regulatory, and market trends and initiatives impacting Ireland, EU, and EMEA.
