">About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join an organisation and take on a leadership role in fundraising campaigns. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering all elements of the fundraising strategy, including research, development, planning, budgeting, marketing, and review.

]Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver fundraising campaigns to achieve financial goals and objectives. This will involve researching new opportunities, developing strategies, and implementing plans to ensure effective teamwork.
  • Supervise a team of fundraisers to implement the overall fundraising plan and ensure effective teamwork. The successful candidate will have excellent people management skills and be able to motivate and support their team members.
  • Manage campaign budgets, monitor performance, and adjust plans as necessary. This will involve working closely with stakeholders to ensure that the fundraising strategy is aligned with the organisation's overall goals and objectives.
  • Identify new fundraising opportunities, develop new initiatives, and create plans to phase out less successful initiatives. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Irish non-profit sector and be able to identify new opportunities for growth and development.
Requirements
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent. A qualification in a relevant field such as business, marketing, or fundraising would be highly desirable.
  • 3-5 years' experience in fundraising, marketing, and people management. Proven track record of success in a similar role would be essential.
  • Understanding of the Republic of Ireland not-for-profit and voluntary sector. Knowledge of the sector's trends, challenges, and best practices would be highly valued.
Person Specification
  • Strong empathy with and compassion for supporters and volunteers. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will be highly organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent administrative, financial, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software would be expected.
  • Ability to support strategy development, planning, and delivery. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker who can contribute to the development of the organisation's overall strategy.
  • Focused on financial income targets and deadlines. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines would be essential.
  • Self-directed, able to work independently, and think creatively. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
