Job Title: Catering Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Assistant to join our team in Wicklow.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and service of meals to residents, as well as performing kitchen porter duties such as heavy pot wash, etc. They will also help the chefs with daily tasks, set up dining rooms for breakfast, lunch and tea, and prepare meal trays for room service.

Additionally, the successful candidate will be required to deep clean procedures weekly, advise residents of menu choices with knowledge of dietary requirements, allergens and medical advice, and clean all crockery and cutlery.

They will work as part of the kitchen team and follow instructions from management, adhering to strict Hygiene, Health and Safety and COSHH regulations at all times. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work efficiently and keep calm under pressure.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 5 years experience working in a Hospital/Nursing home setting or a high-volume catering background.
  • Excellent English both written and verbal.
  • Ability to adapt to working in new Healthcare environments.
  • Minimum 2 working references.
  • Valid work permits to work full-time in Ireland with no restrictions.
