Job Title

A Technical Lead in Telecoms Engineering is required to spearhead the design, development and implementation of cutting-edge IMS and 5G technologies.

About the Job

This role demands a high level of expertise in IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS) architecture, SIP protocol development and 5G Core network protocols.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of IMS architectures, SIP-based applications, network troubleshooting and multimedia service enablement.

This person will be responsible for designing and optimizing IMS and SIP solutions to advance next-generation communication services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Architecture & Design:Develop and implement core IMS network architectures and Network Functions (NFs), ensuring seamless service creation and delivery.
  2. SIP Protocol Development & Troubleshooting:Create and customize SIP-based applications and services, ensuring efficient session management, signaling and debugging of SIP issues.
  3. Multimedia Service Enablement:Manage and enable services such as VoLTE, VoWiFi, Video Calling and other multimedia services, including presence and availability management, messaging and conferencing.
  4. Interoperability & Integration:Resolve interoperability challenges between IMS and legacy systems, such as PSTN.
  5. 5G Core Network Protocols:Collaborate on 5G Core network architecture and service-based architecture (SBA) components to ensure future-ready communication networks.
  6. Security & Network Optimization:Implement security protocols and best practices within IMS and 5G domains while troubleshooting network issues and optimizing SIP routing.
  7. Containerization & Deployment:Deploy containerized applications using tools like Docker, Kubernetes and Helm to enhance system reliability and scalability.
  8. Telecom Systems Development:Contribute to telecom software development projects utilizing programming languages such as C and C++.
Required Skills & Expertise
  • Proven experience in IMS architecture and design.
  • Expertise in SIP protocol for signaling and session management.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and customizing SIP-based applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of 5G Core network architecture and protocols.
  • Proficiency in enabling and managing VoLTE, VoWiFi and multimedia services.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with SIP messaging structures, headers and response codes.
  • Familiarity with network security practices in IMS and 5G domains.
  • Experience deploying containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Proficiency in programming with C and C++ for telecom systems development.
