
Clinical Support Associate

The goal of the Rehab Medical Assistant I position is to provide support for physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech language pathologists and patients by performing administrative tasks, preparing patients and clinic space for therapy, and assisting with patient care.
About This Job- Aid patients with mobility needs, ensuring their comfort and well-being during treatment sessions.
- Prepare patients and clinic space for therapy sessions by removing supportive devices such as braces, splints and slings, and by setting up equipment as needed.
- Support patients and therapists during therapy sessions, communicating effectively and empathetically to facilitate a productive and positive experience.
- Assist therapists with various procedures, including applying modalities (heat, cold, etc.), while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
- Communicate patient's condition, progress and any other relevant information to contribute to treatment plan.
- Set up and maintain therapy equipment, disinfecting surfaces and supplies as necessary to prevent infection and promote cleanliness.
- Wash, fold and store laundry used during patient appointments, adhering to established protocols for hygiene and sanitation.
- Organize and maintain treatment supplies, notifying management when inventory is low or expired.
- Monitor daily schedules and patient arrival times, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities as needed.
- Assist with front office operations as required, providing excellent customer service and support to patients and visitors.
- High School Diploma or equivalent General Education Development (GED) certificate
- Entry level but some experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and teamwork.
- Ability to remain flexible and adapt to changing situations, learn new skills, and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Capacity to build and maintain positive relationships with others, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, enabling efficient prioritization and task completion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
