We are seeking a dedicated and experienced lead structural design specialist to join our dynamic team.
About the RoleThis exciting opportunity involves working on a variety of projects across the built environment, from residential and commercial buildings to water retaining and wind farm infrastructure.
- Assist in the preparation of tender documents and assessments.
- Design Eurocodes for steel, timber, concrete, and masonry, overseeing design tasks delegated to engineers.
- Handle complex designs such as deep foundations, transfer structures, torsional beams, and flat slabs.
- Preparation of calculation packages for hand-based and computer-based designs and checking calculations carried out by engineers.
- Preparation of specification documents.
- Overseeing the preparation of technical reports and collaborating with other disciplines and stakeholders.
- Supervising the development of drawings, reviewing Navisworks and Revit models, and coordinating with other disciplines.
- Effective communication with other members of the design team.
- Excellent understanding of mechanics and strong grasp of complex structural design principles.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with ability to manage delegated tasks to ensure timely delivery.
