
Senior Acute Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in an acute hospital setting.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior role in an acute hospital, supporting adults with complex communication and swallowing needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver high-quality patient-centred care as a Speech and Language Therapist in an acute hospital setting.
- Provide leadership within the SLT team and contribute to service development across the hospital.
- Complete assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for inpatients with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
- Provide specialist input into the management of dysphagia/feeding, eating, drinking, and swallowing disorders.
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care.
- Supervise and support staff-grade therapists and students.
- Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
- A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
- CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in the area of dysphagia/acute care.
- Certification and competence in the management of dysphagia.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
- A professional, patient-focused approach to work.
