We are seeking a dedicated Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team in an acute hospital setting.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to take on a senior role in an acute hospital, supporting adults with complex communication and swallowing needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient-centred care as a Speech and Language Therapist in an acute hospital setting.
  • Provide leadership within the SLT team and contribute to service development across the hospital.
  • Complete assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for inpatients with communication and/or swallowing difficulties.
  • Provide specialist input into the management of dysphagia/feeding, eating, drinking, and swallowing disorders.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care.
  • Supervise and support staff-grade therapists and students.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • A recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in the area of dysphagia/acute care.
  • Certification and competence in the management of dysphagia.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
  • A professional, patient-focused approach to work.
