Aviation Safety Professional

The key objective of the role is to guarantee safe flight operations. This includes daily management of safety protocols and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the administration of the Aviation Safety Department, focusing on timely analysis and validation of safety data for improved flight safety.
  • Perform thorough reviews of digital safety data to determine adverse events, their causes, correlations, and trends in flight and maintenance operations.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety trends, including charts and summaries.
  • Compile and present safety and maintenance data to enhance training and flight operations.
  • Support Hazard Identification, Risk Assessments, and Risk Reviews for various departments.
  • Contribute to the creation of publications related to aviation safety.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance department in collecting aircraft fleet data.
  • Support the organization of safety meetings and maintain the upkeep of Emergency Response Plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Business Administration, or a related field required, or equivalent industry experience/qualification.
  • Previous experience in aviation safety management, or similar and relevant experience in transportation industries.
  • Familiarity with safety software, including data analysis, trending, and presentation.

Desirable Skills:

  • Able to read and interpret regulations, manuals, and technical procedures, including EASA regulations.
  • Strong written communication skills, capable of writing effective reports and correspondence.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, able to speak publicly and present to audiences at various levels, from employees to industry professionals.
  • Must be detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook).
