Job Overview

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is currently recruiting a full-time Clinical Nurse Manager II to lead and manage the nursing team in the Limerick centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring an efficient, effective and safe blood collection process and providing excellent service to donors.

The Clinical Nurse Manager II will work closely with the Area Manager to manage all aspects of the clinic and team, including staff management, projects, work practices, equipment, and budgets. They will also support the organisation's strategic priorities regarding operational excellence, customer experience, and better healthcare.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years post-registration experience, two of which must be in relevant clinical practice within the last 3 years. They will also need to demonstrate excellent written communication skills, proven IT skills, and continuous professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • To be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) live register in any division.
  • Have at least 5 years post-registration experience, two of which must be in relevant clinical practice within the last 3 years.
  • Evidence of recent continuous professional development.
  • Excellent written communication skills, demonstrating a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Benefits

The salary scale attached to the post is the Clinical Nurse Manager II scale €61,463 to €77,666 pro rata per annum. Entry point onto the salary scale is dependent on relevant experience.

The successful candidate must meet one of the citizenship criteria below:

  • A citizen of the European Economic Area (EEA).
  • A citizen of the United Kingdom (UK).
  • A citizen of Switzerland under the agreement between the EU and Switzerland on the movement of people.
  • A non-EEA citizen with a stamp 4 visa.
