Trainee Accountant Role Overview

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Trainee Accountants to join our team in Limerick. As a Trainee Accountant, you will play a key role in the preparation of financial statements, audits, and other management reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Audit Participation: Participate in the performance of audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Management Reporting: Compile and prepare management accounts, providing insightful analysis and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, including corporation Tax, VAT, RCT, and Income Tax returns.
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Client Liaison: Liaise with clients, banks, legal firms, and other professional advisers, maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Company Secretarial: Manage client Company Secretarial requirements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support and Development: Work under the supervision of senior staff members, providing support and developing your skills and knowledge.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in accountancy or a business-related field;
  • A minimum 2.1 grade;
  • 420+ points at Leaving Cert level (or equivalent);
  • Motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong communication and English language skills;
  • Enthusiasm for developing your career and improving your skills and knowledge.
