24/7 Security Operations Triage Lead

This role requires a strong leader to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Security Operations Center (SOC) Triage team. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively manage complex technical security threats.

  • The Triage Shift Lead is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of shift handovers, resolving tactical issues, and prioritizing shift work.
  • They will also act as an escalation point for all Security Analysts and Engineers, and provide effective feedback and suggestions on ways to improve processes.
About the Role

This is a mid-senior level position that reports directly to the Director of Security Operations. The successful candidate will be part of a shift rotation, working days, nights, and weekends to manage the tactical elements of both outbound and inbound triage and handovers.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing day-to-day escalations, shift handovers, and execution of the shift teams for both inbound and outbound triage.
  2. Striving to get the best out of each team member on shift by setting goals, measuring execution of the goals, providing feedback, and removing obstacles.
  3. Acting as the escalation point for all tactical aspects of the role including customer escalations and internal communications.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence team members and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with Elastic Stack, Kibana, and/or Zendesk is a plus.
