About MEP Estimator Role

Are you a highly skilled professional seeking a challenging MEP estimation position in Ireland's thriving construction industry?

We are looking for an experienced MEP estimator to join our team, working on high-profile Data Centre, Commercial and Industrial projects based out of Limerick.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual with strong estimation skills and experience working on large-scale projects. You will be responsible for tendering, estimating, procurement, vendor coordination, risk management, collaboration, and cost control.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Tendering & Estimating: Prepare and review MEP estimates from drawings and specifications, including HVAC, electrical, fire protection, plumbing, and BMS systems.
  • Procurement & Vendor Coordination: Source and assess supplier/subcontractor quotes, maintain strong vendor relationships, and negotiate contracts.
  • Risk & Value Engineering: Identify risks, scope gaps, and value opportunities to reduce costs without impacting quality.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate with design, engineering, and project teams to support bid strategy and negotiations.
  • Cost Management Tools: Maintain cost databases and estimation software, track historical pricing for benchmarking, and implement cost-saving initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Building Services, Quantity Surveying, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in an Estimation role, preferably with a Tier 1 Contractor.
  • Experience working on Data Centre projects would be beneficial.
  • IT Skills: Microsoft Office, ConEst, Trimble, and CostX.
