Car Body Finisher

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Paint Specialist to join our team at our Accident Repair Centre in Tralee, Co. Kerry. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in automotive spray painting, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Job Description:

• To prepare vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming.
• To mix and match paint to ensure perfect colour alignment with original factory specifications.
• To apply paint to vehicles using spray guns and other equipment, ensuring even coverage and proper thickness.
• To operate heating or drying equipment to accelerate paint drying.
• To perform quality checks on completed jobs to ensure there are no defects.
• To maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with health and safety regulations.
• To keep records of paint usage and supplies to manage inventory effectively.
• To collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure timely completion of vehicles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Automotive Paint Specialist in an automotive repair setting.
• Strong knowledge of painting equipment, materials, and techniques.
• Experience with water-based paint is essential.
• Ability to mix and apply paint in a manner that meets high quality standards.
• Good understanding of colour theory and colour matching.
• Vocational training or certification in auto body painting is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
