Job Overview

The College is seeking a lecturer to teach and deliver learning materials for the Furniture and Fittings module, a 5 ECTS module offered on various programmes.

We are looking for an expert with in-depth knowledge of Furniture and Fittings who can prepare learners to meet industry requirements.

About the Module

The aim of the module is to enable learners to develop skills in designing and detailing innovative furniture and fittings solutions.

  • The main objective is to give learners a broad understanding of the design, manufacturing and sourcing process in relation to furniture.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Teach and deliver learning materials for the Furniture and Fittings module.
  2. Prepare learners to meet industry requirements.
  3. Develop and deliver learning and teaching materials.
  4. Contribute to curriculum development.
  5. Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in line with college policy.
Requirements
  • Level 9 qualification or equivalent in interior or product design, or a cognate discipline.
  • Proven teaching excellence and ability to support curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build relations and work collaboratively.
  • Membership of a professional body is an advantage.
