Job Description:
The HSE Manager will be responsible for leading the health, safety, and environmental team to ensure a safe working environment on construction sites.
This role involves managing project-specific HSE documents, coordinating HSE indicators, and ensuring adherence to relevant statutory provisions and legislation.
- Manage the HSE team members under your control.
- Development of project specific HSE documents in conjunction with the project management team.
- Coordination of project HSE indicators.
- Carry out regular site HSE audits and inspections.
- Assist or carry out accident/incident/near-miss investigation reports.
- Ensure Environmental, Sustainability, Waste reduction & recycling programmes are maintained.
- Liaison with site Project Management on environmental, health & safety issues.
- Ensure best practices in HSE are promoted & maintained at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A relevant third-level qualification in Environmental, Health & Safety.
- 5+ years experience as a HSE Lead or Senior HSE Person on construction sites.
- Thorough knowledge of current HSE related legislation & regulations for Ireland.
- Ability to efficiently manage all HSE issues on the project you have responsibility for.
- Ability to work on own initiative and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead a team.
- Electrical or Engineering background or have worked for M&E companies.
