Speech-Language Pathologist - K-8

Job Summary:

The School Speech-Language Pathologist will provide high-quality speech-language therapy services to students, evaluating their abilities and preparing individualized treatment plans. They will conduct assessments, interpret results, and develop reports on strengths and concerns in areas such as speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students' speech-language abilities and prepare treatment plans that address their unique needs
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Conduct assessments, interpret results, and develop reports on students' progress and development of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills
  • Collaborate with instructional staff to create effective learning environments and implement transition materials
  • Participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings to support student success
  • Develop strength-based treatment plans that align with school, state, and federal guidelines and are tailored to the unique needs of each student
  • Support teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected or identified speech and language delays/disorders

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Valid MI SLP license
  • Clinical Fellows welcome to apply
