Job Overview

We are seeking a strategic architect to help drive the transformation of our business through the realization of our platform strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with peers to understand the architectural landscape and challenges, articulating opportunities for improvement and motivating change.
  2. Drive technical standards and approaches to ensure the delivery of trustworthy solutions.
  3. Work with leadership to articulate current architecture and inform future investments via quantitative and qualitative arguments.
  4. Assess development and operational practices from an architectural perspective, emphasizing privacy, security, and resilience.
  5. Prioritize and encourage adoption of architectural standards.
  6. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems and design architectural direction for the platform.
  7. Lead resolution of complex problems within one's discipline, integrating cross-functional processes and outcomes.
  8. Contribute to cross-organization working groups to address pressing architectural challenges.
  9. Maintain expert-level knowledge of architectural patterns, technologies, and trends.
  10. Bring innovative architectural thinking to software architecture practice.
  11. Track industry best practices and advocate where relevant.

As a successful candidate, you will have 15+ years of experience in software engineering and software architecture, with 5+ years in a senior architecture role in a SaaS business pursuing a platform strategy. You will also possess excellent experience in Java, Python, Golang, and other programming languages, as well as expertise in cloud architecture on AWS (Azure or other clouds acceptable). Self-directed individuals with the ability to complete work strategically and efficiently are highly sought after for this role.

This is a hybrid or remote working model aligned to our offices. Travel to at least four international trips per year will be required for internal meetings.

Required Skills:

  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering and software architecture
  • 5+ years in a senior architecture role in a SaaS business pursuing a platform strategy
  • Excellent experience in Java, Python, Golang, and other programming languages
  • Expertise in cloud architecture on AWS (Azure or other clouds acceptable)
