Job Title:

Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:

This role involves providing technical support for plant facilities and services, ensuring optimum performance and compliance with contractual requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the production team to achieve targets and maintain optimal equipment operation.

Responsibilities:
  1. Regularly inspect and monitor plant operations to ensure optimal performance and adherence to contract terms;
  2. Calibrate and test plant equipment, alarms, and instrumentation in accordance with CMMS, vendor recommendations, or contractual requirements;
  3. Complete planned mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks as outlined in the CMMS and record completion of these tasks in the CMMS;
  4. Coordinate with sub-contractors to ensure timely and safe completion of maintenance tasks;
  5. Respond promptly to plant/equipment failures by performing repairs or replacements as necessary and recording completion in the CMMS;
  6. Solve complex problems and troubleshoot mechanical, process, and electrical issues using sound working principles;
  7. Identify and manage spare parts necessary for reliable plant operation;
  8. Be responsible for the permit-to-work system and use remote monitoring tools like BMS to verify plant condition.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Hold a mechanical qualification; Instrumentation qualification is an advantage; Previous experience in facility maintenance is beneficial;
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic drawings would be advantageous; Some knowledge of maintenance and experience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments would be beneficial;
  • Previous experience with technically challenging applications would be advantageous; Ability to interact with suppliers, internal customers, and external contractors.
