Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Officer to join our team. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a long-term career with opportunities for growth and development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide HSE advice and support to managers, supervisors, and colleagues to ensure a safe working environment.
- Develop and maintain safe systems of work and ensure their effective application.
- Conduct regular inspections and record-keeping to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
- Investigate incidents and implement improvement measures to prevent reoccurrence.
- Become aware of the functions of other members of staff as they affect your work and maintain effective working relationships.
- Attend meetings as required and undertake assigned work in a professional and efficient manner.
Requirements:
- NEBOSH Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
- Proven experience in HSE with a minimum of 5 years.
- Experience in new build and M&E construction environments or similar.
- Experience in undertaking health and safety audits.
Desirable Criteria:
- Chartered membership of IOSH or working towards it.
- NEBOSH Diploma or working towards it.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Incident reduction rates.
- Compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Effectiveness of HSE policies and procedures.
