An exceptional opportunity exists for a skilled Procurement/Planning professional to contribute to the growth and evolution of our organisation.
This leadership role is responsible for spearheading the end-to-end procurement and planning process, ensuring seamless supply continuity and inventory efficiency across production operations.
The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing a structured, cost-conscious, and digitally integrated procurement and planning function.
- Strategically lead the procurement and planning process, aligning with business objectives and operational needs.
- Establish and oversee company procurement policies for key raw materials, packaging, and consumables.
- Monitor and report on inventory levels, identifying opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate and execute the production planning cycle, optimising supply chain responsiveness and forecasting accuracy.
- Maintain and manage purchase orders, track confirmations, and delivery performance.
- Optimise SAP Business One MRP system settings to enhance forecasting and supply chain agility.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, driving value, quality, and reliability through regular reviews.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure purchasing and planning aligns with operational requirements and project milestones.
- Identify and escalate potential supply risks or delays, initiating corrective actions in coordination with key stakeholders.
- Analyse spend trends and support cost-saving and supplier rationalisation initiatives.
- Provide data-driven insights through regular reporting on procurement KPIs, supplier OTIF, and inventory performance.
- Ensure timely and compliant import/export processes, working collaboratively with the Accounts team.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement and planning within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Proven SAP Business One (or similar ERP) user with experience managing MRP planning parameters and procurement workflows.
- Strong understanding of MRP principles, inventory management, and supply continuity practices.
- Experience managing supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and performance reviews.
- Highly proficient in Excel and able to interpret and present planning and procurement data.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, with urgency, accountability, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable operating independently while engaging effectively with multiple stakeholders.
