This is a unique chance to be part of a dynamic team responsible for leading the development and delivery of comprehensive programmes of client events and sponsorship initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have strong commercial drive, high-level written and oral communication skills, solid business acumen, management, and problem-solving abilities. They will also be skilled in project management, planning, and execution, with experience in managing external suppliers and teams.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and manage the programme of strategic events and sponsorships to ensure alignment with the firm's brand profile and growth objectives.
  2. Manage the events and sponsorship team to deploy talent effectively and deliver the annual events programme.
  3. Oversee the end-to-end production and delivery of industry events programmes for major clients and contacts, maximising client experience and engagement.
  4. Manage internal stakeholder relations to ensure the events programme supports specific business needs across Service Lines, Growth Platforms, and Sectors.
  5. Develop detailed project plans for major events, ensuring effective communication channels are utilised.
  6. Assure the firm's CRM system is deployed to support event planning and post-event follow-up with clients and contacts.
  7. Drive innovation and best-in-class ways of delivering compelling, state-of-the-art events.
  8. Put in place ROI metrics and assure quarterly and yearly reporting.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills Requirements
  • A degree in Marketing or a business-related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of strategic event management experience, ideally from a professional services or large corporate background.
  • Experience working in large/matrix organisations, balancing multiple stakeholder requirements.
  • Proven experience in leading a professional events function/team.
  • Strong knowledge of market-leading virtual event platforms.
  • Proven ability in developing effective, engaging branded events that deliver on objectives.
  • High-level written and oral communication skills.
  • Solid business acumen, management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Organising, project management, and planning skills - ability to proactively plan, follow up, manage, and deliver on deadlines.
  • Ability to showcase creativity and innovation.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Experience of using marketing automation & CRM platforms.
  • Good negotiation and budgetary skills.
  • Proven track record of managing external suppliers.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Passion for events, venues, and hospitality.
