The successful candidate will join an established team working mainly within the Gas utilities sector, focusing on data capture, GIS maintenance, desktop investigations, and map creation.
Responsibilities- Data capture of field data and as-laid information, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintenance and versioning administration of Geographic Information Systems.
- Desktop investigations using GIS and supporting documents, identifying areas for improvement.
- Creation of maps used for design reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Compilation of Investigative Reports, summarizing key data and insights.
- Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems – Smallworld GIS, ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth, with experience in data capture and digitising into GIS.
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- 3rd level degree or certification in GIS, CAD, engineering, or equivalent experience, with a strong understanding of spatial analysis and data visualisation.
- Fluent written and spoken English, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
- Full clean driving license, with a valid passport for international travel.
