Market Operations Specialist Role

This is an exciting opportunity to take on a critical market operations position within a leading power supply company. As Market Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our electricity market activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain awareness of pertinent timelines and work towards meeting deadlines related to company activities in the electricity market.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory and market-related documentation, applications, auction submissions, and tender responses to ensure company objectives are met.
  • Coordinate with commercial and field operations teams to engage clients, install, commission, and test equipment to meet relevant market timelines and volume commitments.
  • Manage registration, de-registration, and modifications to electricity market units as required by the company.
  • Prepare and submit pre-testing documentation as needed by system/market operators.
  • Execute compliance testing and prepare test reports for submission to system/market operators and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with business units to effectively manage the company's portfolio and maintain compliance with electricity market obligations.
  • Maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle day-to-day queries from regulators and system operators, prepare reports and analyses in response, including financial insights where required.
  • Represent the company at domestic and international forums related to the team's functions.

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous relevant experience in the electricity industry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pragmatic approach.
  • Able to work independently with high personal motivation.
  • Strong communication skills, summarising complex material clearly for senior management and the wider business.
  • Good understanding of policy and regulatory matters pertaining to the Irish electricity market.
