Job Opportunity: Our client is seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the civil works for a new power station project in Ireland.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a critical project with a duration of two years, contributing to Ireland's energy infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and project management, with a proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clear leadership and technical guidance to engineers, operatives, and subcontractors.
- Act as a mentor to junior staff and foster a collaborative team culture.
- Plan and manage civil works to meet programme milestones, ensuring alignment with strategic energy goals.
- Oversee all aspects of project delivery, including budget control, resource management, design coordination, and contract administration.
- Build strong relationships with clients, utility providers, and public stakeholders, acting as a trusted ambassador for the business.
- Align procurement and delivery strategies with environmental objectives and long-term value creation.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, permitting, and public works contract requirements.
Requirements:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Chartered or working towards chartership with Engineers Ireland or a similar professional body.
- Experience in a Project Manager role, ideally in energy, utilities, or large-scale infrastructure.
