Commissioning Editor Opportunity
">This is an exciting role for an experienced Commissioning Editor to join our editorial team and work closely with authors, the commissioning, editorial, and sales teams.
">The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and working with new authors, briefing them on editorial processes and procedures, and managing commissioning expectations. They will also attend industry meetings, engage with relevant bodies, and build relationships with subject associations and educational conferences.
">We are seeking a highly skilled and organised individual with a strong interest in educational publishing and a solid editorial background. The ideal candidate will have proven commissioning experience from an educational publishing background, ideally in Primary education, although we will consider candidates from Post Primary education. An Assistant Commissioning Editor looking to take the next step may also be suitable.
">The successful person will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of print and digital content is essential, as is commercial awareness and a strong sense of achievement.
