Commissioning Editor Role

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Editor to join our growing editorial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and working closely with new authors, briefing them on editorial processes and procedures, and managing the company's commissioning expectations.

The Commissioning Editor will work closely with the author and other teams to ensure project success. They will provide advice and assistance throughout the commissioning process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and work closely with new authors
  • Brief authors on editorial processes and procedures
  • Manage the company's commissioning expectations
  • Work closely with the author and other teams to ensure project success
  • Provide advice and assistance throughout the commissioning process
Requirements:
  • Education to degree level or equivalent
  • Proven commissioning experience from an educational publishing background
  • Experience of print and digital content
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
