Job Title: SHEQ Manager

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to join their team for two large-scale projects in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality assurance monitoring across both projects, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal standards.

In this role, you will work closely with the Site Contracts Manager to ensure that all health and safety protocols are followed. You will also be responsible for conducting audits and inspections of contractors and subcontractors, reviewing job-specific risk assessments and method statements, and identifying safety concerns and working with site teams to implement practical solutions.

The SHEQ Manager will maintain accurate and current health & safety documentation, act as a liaison for internal audits, external regulators, and third-party inspectors, track and report on workplace accidents, hazards, and compliance metrics, support the delivery of safety training, toolbox talks, and site inductions, assist in planned fire, environmental, and emergency drills, promote behavioural safety and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and support the maintenance of SHEQ systems in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.

Requirements:
  • 4+ years' experience within a similar senior H&S role - Civil Engineering/Construction
  • Relevant Health and Safety qualifications (NEBOSH, etc)
  • Strong experience with ISO standards and auditing (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Experience with report writing, organisation or planning
  • IOSH membership
  • Good communication and people management skills
  • IT and numeracy skills (MS Office)
  • Full clean driving license
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Environmental or Quality certifications
  • NEBOSH Diploma
