Job Description:

A Personal Care Assistant's primary purpose is to deliver personal care and assistance to clients in their own homes. This includes performing identified care duties, implementing the requirements of clients' care plans, and promoting client comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will work closely with clients and their families to understand their unique needs and preferences. You will provide support with daily living tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, as well as assist with meal preparation and medication management.

Your exceptional communication skills will enable you to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care delivery. Your patience, kindness, and empathy will make a significant difference in the lives of our clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must possess either a QQI approved Level 5 Modules Care of the Older Person and Care Skills/Healthcare Support qualification or a minimum of one year's experience caring for others. Bluebird Care offers free QQI training for Care Skills & Care of the Older Person, so we encourage applicants who may not have formal qualifications but have relevant experience to apply.
