Logistics Coordinator Job Description

The role of a logistics coordinator is to oversee and manage various aspects of the logistics process, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include coordinating stock management, order processing, fulfillment, scheduling, shipment planning, and job pricing.

  • Expedite freight consignments efficiently while tracking costs and maintaining up-to-date records on the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless order flow, customer satisfaction, and optimal stock availability.
  • Monitor shipments across various channels, resolving delays and errors quickly.
  • Review shipping documentation and purchase orders for accuracy and compliance.
  • Engage with subcontractors, service providers, and transportation partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Implement and uphold quality, safety, and compliance standards, including ISO and regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships by understanding client needs and ensuring service excellence.
  • Continuously contribute to process improvements to optimize the supply chain and logistics performance.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, and inventory management, as well as strong knowledge of the supply chain and proficiency in WMS and other logistics software systems.
