About This Role

A Quality Assurance Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring healthcare services meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular quality assurance home visits and phone calls with customers to ensure their needs are met.
  • Develop and implement systems for collecting and analysing customer feedback to drive continuous improvement in service delivery.
  • Update care plans and risk assessments as necessary to reflect changing customer needs.
  • Oversee and monitor incident and complaint logs, compiling regular reports that highlight trends and areas for improvement.
  • Hold monthly meetings with branch managers and coordinators to review incidents and complaints, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • Organise and attend the monthly clinical governance meeting, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Prepare timely and comprehensive clinical governance reports that inform strategic decision-making.
  • Effectively address escalated customer complaints, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of outcomes and concerns are addressed promptly.
Requirements:
  • QQI level 5 or equivalent qualification is essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PC skills is mandatory.
  • Detailed knowledge of home care principles and the roles and responsibilities of care assistants is crucial.
  • The ability to manage conflict and seek resolution is vital in this position.
  • Care assistants must be able to understand and complete care plans and risk assessments to a high standard.
  • Initiative and autonomy are essential qualities for this role.
  • Friendly and personable demeanour is essential for building strong relationships with customers and colleagues alike.
