Senior Quantity Surveyor Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead our team of quantity surveyors across multiple projects in Ireland. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, either chartered or SCSI registered working towards chartership.

This is a permanent position based in County Cork and offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across the country. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the quantity surveying function across multiple projects and ensuring that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the quantity surveying function across multiple projects
  • Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities (BOQ's) to ARM4/5 and schedule of rates (SOR)
  • Provide accurate estimates and manage project costs
  • Evaluate and negotiate contracts, contract changes and variations
  • Assist with the preparation of cost plans and cash flow projections
  • Document controls and filing
  • Regularly communicate with clients, contractors and design teams
  • Assist with the preparation of progress reports
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree educated in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • Proven track record as a Quantity Surveyor within the Consultancy construction sector
  • Strong understanding of construction methodologies, cost management, and contract administration
  • Have a full Irish driving license
