Programme Assistant Position

As a key member of our team, you will provide support and assistance to individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in planning activities and approaches for each individual, providing guidance and motivation as needed.
- Create a positive working environment that fosters collaboration and group dynamics.
- Ensure individuals are constructively engaged, emotionally supported, and sufficiently challenged to progress and work independently.
- Work closely with individual plans and goals to achieve desired outcomes.
- Provide supervision and support as individuals become able to work independently.
- Participate in reviews and meetings with social care coordinators and other supporters.
- Notify management of any concerns and attend requested meetings.
- Work under limited supervision, following established practices and procedures.
- QQI Level 5 Major Award in Community/Healthcare (with 8 completed modules).
- At least 1 year's experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities or autism.
- Experience running programs for adults with intellectual disabilities or autism.
- Understanding of the New Directions model and willingness to promote it.
- Ability to contribute to supporting, coaching, managing, and developing a mixed workforce.
- Full driving license and willingness/ability to drive a vehicle with up to 8 passenger seats and up to 3,500kg gross vehicle weight.
