Fire Protection Technician

As a Fire Protection Technician at our organization, you will be part of a team in the fire protection division. You will drive or partner in a van, primarily based in the Western / Connaught region of Ireland.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Experienced pipe fitters with knowledge in all types of sprinkler systems.
  • Able to work on own initiative and lead as a technician.
  • Full drivers' licence (optional).
  • Liaise and build relationships with clients.
  • Competent in draining / refilling sprinkler systems.
  • Competent in operating fire pumps / related fire alarms.
  • Planning and working from sprinkler drawings.
  • Knowledge in LPC and FM sprinkler rules.

Your Qualifications and Key Criteria:

  • Safe Pass / manual handling certification.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • National Craft Certificate qualification.

Desirable Skills:

  • Ability to manage a job to completion / attend meetings.
  • Flexibility for outside of normal working hours.
  • Construction background experience.
