Job Responsibilities
  • Gain experience in implementing best practices in a dynamic production environment.
  • Develop problem-solving and continuous improvement skills by working collaboratively as part of a broader production/process team.
  • Leverage lean and six sigma techniques to drive process improvements.
  • Take on shift management responsibilities, including learning production processes and working closely with experienced operators to achieve high-quality results.
  • Serve as a key point of authority for team members, resolving any issues that may arise during shifts.
  • Making informed decisions regarding production impacts within a shift, escalating issues as needed to support or management personnel.
  • Lead daily shift handover meetings, ensuring objectives are met and all participants contribute actively.
  • Drive team performance through feedback, coaching, counselling, and training, while coordinating systems, policies, and procedures to optimize multi-skilling across the team.
Requirements
  • A strong academic record, particularly in fields such as engineering, food science, or related disciplines, with a minimum of a 2.2 honors degree.
  • A demonstrated ambition to progress successfully in a career in operations and production, thriving in a dynamic and challenging environment.
  • Commercial thinking and customer-centric solution delivery.
  • Driving collaboration and building partnerships to achieve shared objectives.
  • Clear communication and influence at all levels.
  • A thirst for knowledge and a desire to continually learn and grow.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to develop creative insights and execute change.
  • Flexibility to move between production sites, if required.
