Logistics Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Director to lead our warehouse operations in Meath. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the daily activities of a large team and ensure the smooth running of our key warehouse unit.

As Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing budgets, policies, P&L, KPI's, SOP's, process improvements, health & safety, audits, and client management.

The ideal candidate will have 5 years' senior operational management experience working within the area of FMCG/logistics warehousing.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Proactively improve operational efficiencies and performance in line with monitoring and reporting of key customer and operational metrics.
  • Oversee all account management activities, including business review meetings, client reviews, and adherence to customer SLA.
  • Implement health & safety and quality management processes on site, ensuring legislative compliance through self-auditing.
  • Recognise areas where KPIs can be improved to achieve best outcomes.
  • Work closely with Transport and Customer Services teams to develop service requirements on an ongoing basis.
  • Drive and motivate teams to achieve best results and ensure 100% accuracy for the customer.
  • Ensure target lead times are met and reviewed regularly.
  • Attend weekly Management team meetings to improve business and ensure cost effectiveness.
  • Respond and deal with escalated client queries or complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Plan seasonal and other changes as required.
  • Ensure regular stock takes are completed and all issues actioned.
  • Develop, lead, motivate, and encourage colleagues to allow for succession and development of the business.
  • Ensure all team members have performance reviews and objectives are met and feedback is given.
