The role of a Social Care Support Professional involves facilitating and encouraging decision-making, independence, and personal development. They will provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health and appearance.

Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate and encourage decision-making, independence, and personal development.
- Provide support in daily living skills, including personal hygiene, health and appearance.
- Work in a person-centred manner to meet individual care plans and goals.
- Administer and document the dispensation of prescribed medication.
- Undertake key worker responsibilities, helping service owners achieve goals.
- Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.
- Work with MDT to achieve the goals of service owners.
- A minimum Level 7 qualification in Applied Social Studies or equivalent.
- Registered (or in process) with the Social Care Workers Registration Board by CORU.
- QQI Level 5 (8 modules) in Healthcare or equivalent
- A full Irish driving license
- Prior experience in social care or healthcare
- Working knowledge of HIQA standards and regulations
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
- Garda Vetting/Police Clearance
