Resort Sous Chef Job Description

The Resort Sous Chef will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchens, planning and executing banquet and wedding functions, developing menus, and ensuring adherence to HACCP regulations.


  • Strong leadership and management skills are essential for this role, as the candidate will be responsible for training and onboarding new staff members and assisting with stock takes.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience is desired, along with previous experience in a senior chef-related position and certification from a recognized body.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with menu development and execution, including creating innovative dishes that meet high culinary standards.
  • Support effectively and positively any operational changes, ensuring minimal disruption to kitchen operations.
  • Ensure all HACCP regulations are adhered to, maintaining a safe and healthy food handling environment.

Requirements:
  • Must have demonstrated superior management skills in previous responsibilities.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to apply supervisory/management soft skills.
